She hates going in the car, so I have to do everything possible to make it comfortable for her. I've actually just found a new fleecy foam pad that is much slimmer, but fits the exact width of a D4 boot and doesn't slide around. Penfold the Beagle in question is a bit of a diva, I had put her brother on the crate in the boot, she jumped in the boot and then walked through to the rear seat she soon got put back in the crate
