Discovery V8 4.4 Engine Mappings

Does anyone know if there are multiple "mappings" to load for the V8 4.4 motor?

Well my memory is a little clearer Smile we saw a small improvement in 0-100, but less than a second. The problem is we had some wierd climbing idling afterwards (I stil reckon you have a wonky car!) Wasn't worth the effort as Heine says. Nowhere near as spectacular as the results on a diesel.
If you want to taste for free gimme a buzz.

If you want anything more than the V8 dishes up, you need a supercharged Twisted Evil - now there's a conversion that needs doing.

What grade of petrol are you using Heine ?
I'm on 98 RON ( bog standard is 91 , and then
there's 95 for the European stuff ; BMW Merc Audi )
which I assume you're using .
I went for a blast without the air filter , and it
didn't make any difference.

The best we get is 95 . While you can't feel much improvement in the car , it definitely revs freer , and was quicker in a straight line . My biggest reason for doing it was to be able to run Lead Replacement fuel , as unleaded isn't always available in neighbouring counties . And of course the sound was a huge bonus Razz

I haven't noticed much of an improvement in consumption either Big Cry
