C1A03 and C1A72 faults need to recalibrate? |
|
Hey all,
Quick question I'm getting suspension warnings that goes away after 5 or so seconds. Had it for a while now occasionally it drops to access mode but upon starting car its fine so scanned it and got the below two errors relating to left hand front sensor.
C1A03 - Front left height sensor
C1A72 - Front left height sensor mechanism
Seems like an easy job to fix long as wiring loom is ok. I'm gonna stick my head under and check loom is ok. I noticed people saying you must recalibrate after doing this though which I'm unable to do and I live pretty far away from closest shop that could do that.
Is it 100% necessary to recalibrate e.g. will car be drivable without it until I get the chance or should I just take it to my good independent?.
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Aidan Aidan

Nope no need to calibrate it seems installed fine checked heights with scantool and seems ok. They all go up and down as you drive but ill park it on a flat surface and check heights with ruler. Clips were stuck down on the plug with 16 years of dirt, moisture and grime after fighting with them for 25 mins with parts cleaner I used a mechanics pick to leverage the clips open in 2 seconds so easy.
Ended up removing Fuse 26 whilst I waited for the part to arrive - which is a great workaround for the 30 mph bump stop problem until you can get the part to fix. Aidan
