You would hope so but LR does some silly things.

The new LR engines are inline 6 3.0l, and are LR engines, not Ford.

But the inline 2 litre has being dropped to be replaced with the old 3.0 TDV6 which only has a little more power than the 2 litre as the base engine - the Ig straight 6 engine you mention will continue as the next level up engine.
You need to keep up with the changes

The news release I saw did not say, but I assume those that had the 2 litre engine like the D5 that has had the 3.0TDV6 in the past.

No it’s a detuned ingenium straight 6 I think, certainly in the new Defender.
^ yeah, all engines in JLR are being replaced by the Ingenium range, so no more SDV8 or SDV6--

I had a delivery yesterday from our local LR dealership who dropped off a complete short motor so it doesn't look like you can get just the crank.
I took photos of the part number on the crank but cracked my screen this morning and its had to go to be repaired as soon as I get it back I will post them up.
From quick measurments it seems to be exactly the same as the old crank. You cant really see a lot without stripping it down.It was made in 2019 according to the date stamped into the crank.

I am rebuilding a 3.0 SDV6 engine at work and have just found out the crank has a hairline crack.
Does anybody know where I can get a crank? I will be purchasing it through work so it will need to come from a company no a private individual.

Were you able to locate a crankshaft

D4 3.0 SDV6 Commercial died and gone to LR heaven
D5 3.0 SDV6 HSE

Hello:
I have already said on another occasion.
The supposed original crankshaft is for sale on ebay.
I say assumption since the Russian motor remanufacturing company, web: "dedmotors.ru" affirms that it is the original used by LR in the motors that it uses in its repairs. Without prejudice to the doubt that this may generate, the Russian company grants a guarantee of "3 years or 70,000 km", therefore, whoever wishes to participate in this true story, can use the crankshaft that has laser inscriptions on the rear head and the code "9X2QBA" embossed on one of the central weights. (Note: Do not use 9X2QAA as it is of lower quality)
