2014 discovery 4 rotary gear selector

Discovery 4 rotary gear selector. Does anyone know if a new rotary gear selector needs to be programmed or is it plug and play. Also, does anyone know the colour of the wire that feeds the solenoid for the interlock on the gear selector.

I have just fitted one on my 16 plate and it was plug and play. I still have the original one if that helps?

Thank you. Was quoted £340 + £65 to programme it as it could not be moved until it was programmed. I will replace it myself now that I know it will not need plugging in. Cheers

Also, there are two units available.
The earlier units supersede to the one with a black top to the knob LR090489, but the RRP is £341.32+vat.

The silver topped knob one is also available LR060016 with a RRP of £286.65+vat. These fit & work just as well if you aren't worried about the colour of the top circle.

regards
Steve

Thanks for reply. Did you notice if manufacturers part number was the same as apparently several different units with different numbers all work. EH22-7E453-AA. EH2M-7E453-AA.
BH42-7E453-AJ. BH42-7E453-AH. ps what was wrong with the one you replaced (usually interlock problem)
