2010 XS head unit replacement - will IID help?

I'm fairly certain my head unit has died, No Radio, No Nav, No Display, No phone. All fuses are good. I have a MOST loop, if I remove the head unit and plug in the loop in place should the display light up?

If I replace the head unit does it need to be coded to the car and will the IID tool help with this?

Many thanks.

No just plugs in no coding required, but you need to make sure its the same model head unit.

Great , that's good news.

Just so I'm clear I'm not missing anything, I have an Amp under the drivers seat, removed the MOST cable and tried the MOST loop on the Optic cable, no change.

Do I need to put the MALE one in the Amp and the Female on the end of the Optic at the same time? Or just the Female on the Optic to trick the rest of the modules to think the Optics links are complete?

The Head Unit I have had out of the Dash, opened the lid and checked for any obvious blown components, condensation or wayward spiders shorting anything and nothing obvious.

Other than that are the only other items in the system the BT module which is I suspect in one of the rear quarter panels and the screen it's self.

Do I need to do the MOST loop check with the BT Module as well?

Yes you need to check everything on the most netwok, if the circuit is broken nothing will work.
The bluetooth unit is often the problem
