There are 2 variants of A-bar, depending on whether you have the LR accessory winch kit fitted (although the with-winch variant can be fitted to vehicles without the winch).
The design and method of attachment of both variants also changed in around 2008. The earlier type bolts back to the front crossmember, the later type bolts down to it.
All Variants
A Bar Part Number | Lower Fixing | Version |
---|---|---|
VUB501210 | Bolt Back | Non Winch |
VUB501230 | Bolt Back | With Winch |
LR005237 | Bolt Down | Non Winch |
LR005743 | Bolt Down | With Winch |
Identifying an A-bar
Basic variant
Look for the presence of the lowermost cross bar (which the numberplate would mount to):
Non Winch | With Winch | |
---|---|---|
With Lower Cross Bar | Without Lower Cross Bar |
Type
Look for the presence of 2 holes at the bottom of each vertical bar:
If your A Bar has these holes on the front face you have a "Bolt Back" (VUB5012xx) or earlier type. Bars without these four holes are "Bolt Down" (LR005xxx) or later type.
