Yet another tyre decision.....

Well after much deliberation I decided which 19” wheel to choose to replace the original 20”

The next decision is this; do I keep the tyres already fitted to the wheels, Goodyear Wrangler HP AllWeather that are almost brand new, or bite the GG AT3 bullet and then try to sell the Goodyear’s?

Choices....choices...Arrrrggghhhhhh.....

I had 2 sets of Wranglers on my old D2, lasted over 100k miles between them, good tires.

Maybe not as butch as GGAT3 but considering I doubt you'll get £200 for them, do you
really need to spend an additional £400+ to get the AT3's?

Different story if they were nearing the end of their life though, will be looking at AT3's
to replace my current Maxxis AT771's that are coming up to 40k miles and still have a good
10k miles in them.

Is it 'need' or 'want'? If you need 1/2 / 1/2 tyres for your job or leisure then fit them and sell the Wranglers. If it's just for show, try flogging the tyres first while on the car for a fair sum. If they sell, they sell. If they don't, there's nothing wrong with the Wranglers enhancing decent wheels.

How have you found the Maxxis Discogaz, would you not fit them again, or do you just fancy a change?

Just ordered another Wrangler and will possibly go AT3 when the Wranglers are worn out

One of my brand new rear Pirelli verdes picked up 3 thorn punctures. One on the side tyre wall so not fixable. Disappointed as if it was my bike I could sort of get it. Not on a Car tyre. No idea how it happened but worries me slightly as I am doing the Kilder Forrest day soon. Just hope all the thorns have been moved off the tracks First. Otherwise it will be an expensive day !
