Yes, another parking sensor thread - PLEASE read

Hi all..

Been a member on here for a while, learned a heck of a lot from a lot of helpful folk on here.

But I'm stuck with this parking sensor issue, and I've researched it till I'm blue in the face.

Summary:
Both front and rear sensors don't work.
Live values show 2.5m but nothing changes when standing in front of the sensors.
Replaced rear loom and all sensors.
Replaced PAM (behind rear quarter passenger side)
Did continuity test from individual sensor connectors back to the connector at the Parking Module - all good.
Checked fuse 31 - 5A, all good.
Tried disconnecting front sensors at the plug behind the headlight - no difference except it throws the error for the front ones.
Had the rear and front bumper off a number of times now (I have become an expert at that! )

When you put the car into reverse (parking brake off), beeps for 3 to 4 seconds (from the rear sounder, ,so I know that is also good), light on the button flashes, but nothing is responding from the actual sensors.. not the front, nor the rear ones.

Errors wise I get this:

The one that does throw me is the one about the switch - does anyone have any ideas/experience with the switch having been the culprit? Can it throw the whole thing off? I've checked the wiring schematic I have and it shows that the switch is connected to the Parking Aid Module, as is the rear sounder.

Or does someone have the electrical diagram/troubleshooting process for this? I'm tearing my hair out here! Big Cry cannot find anything on that error code or how to go about trying to rectify it.

Any and all help, advice, guidance greatly received!

Try swapping the front right outer and inner with the left ones and see if the error moves to them, if it does then they are faulty even if its reporting they are ok.

Also you need to get a new switch and try that with the switch error.

Flack Thumbs Up

Thanks Flack for your input.

Cleared all faults this evening and all Parking Aid errors have vanished, but noticed this one in the 'IPC Instrument Pack' - so now I'm almost convinced that the switch is the culprit.

Interesting that I've not seen this error before.

Does anyone know anything about the switch? is it part of a whole module? are they prone to go wrong? Anyone opened one up before?

Could it be a bad earth that is causing this?

Sorry to bump my own thread, but anyone able to advise on this switch? I think it's part of a whole 'module/pack' when you remove it from the dash?
