How easy is it to retro fit xenon lights to a 2006 SE D3?

Very easy, it's a simple plug 'n' play job Thumbs Up

Two conditions though…..

1. You must have air suspension on the D3, as you cannot fit xenons to the coil sprung models. This is due to headlamp levelling, which is worked in conjunction with the air suspension.

2. You cannot retro fit “Adaptive Xenons” Ie. The ones fitted to the HSE, that pivot to illuminate the corner as you turn the steering wheel. The software and/or wiring for this is only present on the HSE model.

Some people, (myself included) who have retro fitted the xenons have noticed a flicker from the lamps on start up, this is due to the car “not knowing” that xenons are fitted. If you have a co-operative / friendly dealer, they can update the CCF (Car Configuration File) with the information that xenons are fitted, which cures this issue.
