worn CV joint
I'm having a worn inner CV joint replaced soon, and was wondering if it was not replaced quickly would the vibration damage the diff' in any way.
All the best Andi.

Maybe not the diff but the oil seal might suffer being vibrated out of shape if you leave it to long, but if its vibrating that bad then it should not be driven..

If the vibration is excessive, then it could damage the bearing. I had a pinion bearing go on my Series 2 when the front prop uj was less than perfect and left it for a while before changing it.
I reckon the added stress from the stiff uj helped it on its way.

Thanks for the replies.
I'm having the shaft replaced on Friday, but I thought I'd ask the question because it's been very slightly vibrating for a few weeks.
Many thanks Andi.
