Woohoo I Bought One - 2007 TDV6 XS
Well thanks to the dozens of buying advice posts, wiki and replies to posts I think I have made an informed purchase.
The car is a 2007 TDV6 XS which has covered 116k, it was purchased new from Taunton Land Rover and serviced and maintained by them for a good number of years. When it changed hands the new keeper used Country Rovers who are based in Taunton/Chard to maintain it. That owner was then looking to sell and knowing the car the owner of Country Rovers bought it for himself. Obviously from that point on it was well cared for and lots of jobs repairs were carried out when required but not necessarily documented as it was his own business. However the larger significant jobs were invoiced, obviously minus any labour costs, and you can tell its been cherished.
It was occasionally used as a courtesy car when required but its use tailed off, the owner then enlisted the help of the dealer I purchased it from across the road to sell it - thats where I come in.
So its a Jan '07 registered vehicle, 116k with well documented history, suspension compressor done earlier this year, EGR's replaced last month, 4 new tyres and a recent brake overhaul including electronic handbrake.
Its fitted with a few choice extras, when looking I looked at most specs but decided it would come down to condition and history rather than spec as I was looking sub £10k so wasn't to going to be precious about wanting a specific spec or options.
It is fitted with heated seats, cruise, phone module, tow pack (recall done) and Harmon Kardon. As part of the deal all the belts are being done along with an AC regas and new MOT.
The only thing I am not sure about is what the colour is - can anyone help?
In terms of plans, for the time being it will stay as is apart from possibly 20% rear tints (dog and child) and a boot liner. I am very close to ordering a set of the bespoke leather seat covers from Auto Leather Company. Spoken to Woodie about a megaflush too just for peace of mind.
Took out a warranty with Warranty Direct which is good move for 12 months I think.
Anyway here are the garage pics, will do some proper ones when its home.

If the belts are getting done make sure the oil pump gets changed, whatever they tell you. That's right in the zone for pump failure.
PS The belts are almost 2 years late if they've not been done at 7 years.

Thanks Alan, I wasn't sure but yours is confirmation
DSL - they were done by present owner in 2012 but it wasn't something he invoiced, so he agreed to do them all again so it's documented, I am trying to get oil pump done at same time.....
