So I've had the lower arms replaced on the Disco; and when I got the car back the steering wheel when driving straight ahead was 'steering left'. Called the garage, they apologised and fixed it. The missus drove a few thousand k's through Europe and now it's even more 'steering left' than before. It drives straight and doesn't seem to pull left or right.
Also, slow speed full lock to the right makes a metallic clonk in the suspension area.
Does anyone know what might be causing the steering wheel to gradually get worse, or any specialists in SW London that could help? I realise I can take it back to the garage, and may do so, but I'd like to be armed with a bit of knowledge.
Thanks

I would be inclined not to drive it at all until you have it looked at, as once steering angles set they should stay set unless the car has hit something in the meantime, so the fact the steering wheel appears to have moved and you have a clunk says to me something has come loose.

As I recall you should have a 4 wheel alignment carried out after replacing suspension arms to ensure the suspension geometry is correct. Look for a place with a Hunter machine as the process involved with suspension like the Disco's is more sophisticated than most regular cars.
My front lower arms are worn and recently mine has started pulling left as well. If it's left too long I believe it will cause adverse tyre wear so ignoring it just leads to bigger bills. VR6 > 330D Touring > D3 HSE > !?XC90?!

I would agree, I wouldn't drive it far until its been checked..
It could be something left loose..
Sounds like the garage has done a s t job and don't really know what they're doing..
Have someone who knows disco's to have a look.. If it's that far out it may well be visable from looking at the front wheels straight on..
the best course of action is to look for you nearest Hunter wheel alignment and get it in, ask them to check all of the bolts and the arms for anomalies. Disco4 MY16 SDV6 Landmark Black

They did do a 4-wheel alignment, but I've not seen a print-out or evidence of it. It does drive straight; just with the wheel at an angle!
I've found a Hunter wheel place in Chiswick, I'll try them.

Make sure the steering angle sensor is also calibrated.

If the 4 wheel alignment isn't done in consideration with the steering wheel you end up with a car that drives fine but with a slightly askew steering wheel which appears to be what you have.
It's been reported a few times: https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/steering-wh...53681.html and here: https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/steering-wh...33983.html
You need to take it back and tell them the steering wheel has been off centre ever since you got it back off them and let them do the alignment again. Mods:
