I'm quite impressed with my missus, followed her in my car on a couple of occasions for some distance and was inwardly impressed how she maintained 'good progress' in the Discovery.
However, kept that to myself. Mr. Green

Exact opposite in this household.
The average mpg goes down everytime in whichever vehicle she uses according to the computer in each vehicle. I build up a good average and everytime she uses it, it's gone down.
I do tend to try and anticipate traffic up ahead and try to avoid hard acceleration and braking.

Our mpg drops when she's driving and she never keeps the car moving when turning lock to lock. Saying that though she tries to park away from others when parking to avoid trolley rash and her wheels remain unmarked - I've jinxed it now Exclamation

A couple of incidents many moons ago when we had a d3. Returned home to see fuel flap open. She'd tried to refuel (rarely happens) and couldn't open flap so ragged it open rather than pressing to release. Broke cubby lid when handbag strap got caught so just kept pulling Evil or Very Mad . And finally, managed to run it out of diesel - in her defence the sender unit was knackered but she did think she was getting good mpg

Wife is a much better driver than me (AIM and all that) - but MPG suffers when she drives the Disco. Fortunately, she prefers her Evoque so doesn’t happen too often.
