Out with the old...
So it was time to change the old girl. She's been fantastic and I was sorry to see her go:

But when I saw this I was smitten. I hope she is as good as the first one!

I've got to say that the drive in the new (to me) one is so much smoother. I'm getting used to the stop/start even if it is a bit annoying at times (like when positioning to reverse into a parking space!)
It really is a beautiful car. The colour in the sun just sparkles and I love the wheels. 8)
Sorry, I'm gushing now!! Bri

I must admit, I thought the same. But it's a 14 plate so I guess it can't be an earlier model. Bri

Didn't the indicators in the mirrors come in with the D I S C O V E R Y on the bonnet? Maybe the boys in Solihull found a box of old letters in a cupboard and thought they'd use them up. Won't be the first time & won't be the last.

Just because they happen to come with "DISCOVERY" on the bonnet now, it's not the end of the world; repair kits are now readily available

I understand that a "Tango" kit, for the lights and mirror indicators, will soon be available. Fortunately you can buy the black plastic wheel arch trims from the D3 that are a straight swap. You'll need to buy the trim clips though as they're easy to snap. I've also heard rumours of a blanking plate for the o/s air vent, but no idea if they are true 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

How long til we're buying our D3 parts with a heritage label. Off to reassure the old girl that she's not an old banger, yet!!
