Wiring loom

I think I have to change the whole wiring loom for the suspension and park brake underneat the car .It is broken several places because of corrosion from salt etc.
Is this a job I can manage myself or is this very diffficult ,only for land rover dealers/specialists.

Not saying it would be easy but is it definitely a removal job, Mikey? If it is indeed that badly damaged, the only one can be cut up and pulled out. Could you get away with undoing the mounts and jacking up the body as little as possible to get the connectors through? Would definitely be hard if you didnt know the run though.

Are you sure the loom cant be repaired?

The loom does more than just the suspension, the electronic parking brake is just one of those. So you will still need the loom.

A coil conversion can be bought as a kit and is fairly simple but you will need to tell the car software with IDD tool. Just to put it out there, it is something you'd should tell your insurance company too.

Do you have pictures of the loom damage? A second hand loom and even paying someone to lift the body off is potentially cheaper than a conversion kit.

To add, if you can see the damage, you can maybe just replace that section. It's just splicing cables and wrapping well with insulation tape.
