Wiring lead to battery?
Hi guys
I'm trying to install a piece of electronic (GPS for the Kenwood system) equipment, and one of the wires needs to be hooked to a source that always has battery power (that is, a source that is not switched off when the car is turned off.) I know the cigarette lighter switches off with the ignition.
Anyone have any clue where I could find this?
Thank you
RN

constant live feed from the fusebox ..here
Switched live feed (off the ignition) from the purple wire which feeds the ciggy plug ...you can get to it from behind the facia panel (just pulls off )
Clock/ SNOTM /3Flash / 4x4Info /BT Update /Service Reset/Error Codes / Gearbox Reset See It Here

Cant help with the laptop but here are a couple of choices for power
This one is live all the time ( or depending on what model year ..it could be the terminal below the one i have plugged into ) this is fused from fuse 65
Or ignition wire can be either traced from the purple wire from ciggy lighter plug ...or get one of these and plug it in fuse 55
