Wiper Blades - time to replace? |
|
I replaced the wiper blades in August last year cuz the old ones were shot.
Replaced with pucker ones from LR Dealer.
These have been fine until last weekend
It looks like on the passenger side the last 6 inches has lifted and not making contact with the windshield
Is this a sign of wear / time to replace indicator? Nothing has disturbed the arm so not sure why it should happen
- drivers side is perfect D4 HSE - Aintree Green
D4 Orkney my13 - gone
Stornaway D4. Gone, Didn't like it at all
D3 silver manual. Loved my first LR

Maybe not your blades, but the arm itself. Have you tried squirting WD40 where you can lift the arm up (albeit that you can only lift it a bit) may just need lubricating & working loose again? Bodsys Brake Bible

This happened to me when I witnessed the guy cleaning the window snag his cloth on the wiper. I gently bent the backing of the blade back into a smooth arc and it's been fine since. I'm not talking about the metal wiper arm, I'm talking about the backing to the wiper blade itself. Dr. Ian Malcolm:

Transgenic tomato anyone?

Ah, she did take it the Poles in Tesco's in Ciren to get it cleaned so that may well be the cause. D4 HSE - Aintree Green

You're brave! I've seen where they hang their sponges/cloths - it's the same surface they paint the parking bay lines on Dr. Ian Malcolm:
