Windscreen Washer Pump Location |
|
Hello all,
I need to replace my windscreen washer pump. Could someone advise where it is located, also is it a simple job or should I get a local garage to fit the part.
A local main dealer had confirmed this part was broken and quoted 150 to replace, I have bought the part elsewhere for under 20 so I am guessing it has to be fairly well hidden.
Many thanks in advance for any answers.

In front left of bumper - as it's your first attempt, I'd recommend the proper way, which means removel of the front bumper for easy access. Not a major job, grill out, lights out and undo a some bolts.
You could try with the bumper on but it'll be awkward - put in off-road height, on full right-hand lock, you should be able to just about do it by simply loosening the wheel-arch liner (selftapping screw under bumper - if it's still there). But make sure you pull out the correct pump as there's two pumps in the bottle - one for the headlamps and one for the windscreen. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
