Window tinting
When we were looking for a D3 I didn't like the idea of tinted rear windows as I thought it made the car looking a bit like a chelsea tractor, but now I have had it a few weeks I think it would look better with rear tints.
Whats the best tint to go for and how much am I likely to pay for all the rear windows & tailgate.
Thanks
Andy

Hi,
Not sure where on South Coast you are, but if within reach of Southampton would reccomend South Coast Tints.
http://www.sctints.co.uk/
Had mine done recently by them and job was superb. No dust etc under film and really friendly chaps. Think mine was about £220 but you can get a online quote on the site. If you look at the products page you can see the various levels of tint. Trying to remember which I had... What ever it was it's great with silver. Not to dark, just subtle. If you need to know let me know and I'll dig the invoice out.
Also a good lunch & beer to be had at Ocean Village while you wait!
Cheers, Richard.
I think I want the rear windows to blend with the black surround around the edges of the window as much as poss, it makes the windows look really cool.
Then the rear screen will prob need to be the same tint as rear windows and the front windows as dark as the law allows

Just got an online quote from South Coast Tints - very good price as they are giving an excellent winter online discount.
Interested to know exactly which of their standard tints you went for. Any photos?

Get an online quote from South Coast Tints. Their winter discount is 35% so probably worth making the trip to Southampton. I'll be going to them from Romford!

Have looked at invoice and % not listed. Pretty sure it was the light smoke 30% but I'll give them a call tomorow to see if they have a record. I chose when I was there on the day anyway so you can have a look when you arrive.. Some pic's anyway... Not to good as light crap! Good luck!
