Winch and Non Winch A-Bars |
|
Seems to be a lot of talk about winches at the moment!
My problem is this, smashed my light the other day so ordered up a new one, went down to the dealer to pick it up and was enquiring about the genuine LR winch kit as i need a winch for work, i know them well down there and i do some work for them so got 20% discount on the winch and labour, anyways they said they could do it for 1750 + VAT fitted, thought lovely i will have some of that!
Only problem is i have the non-winch a bar, now is there a difference other than physically between the 2 a-Bars or are they mounted differently also?
Any help would be greatly recieved as i would quite like to order it tonight and hopefully get it fitted this week got a big job on at the weekend,
Many Thanks

the genuine LR winch, so therefore im assuming would be external?
Only reason being if its purely physically they are different whereby the winch abar just doesnt have that bar at the bottom i would just cut the bar out of my non winch one, but if the actual mounts differe between the two that is where i will come unstuck!
How are things anyway?

I cut the lower section out of my A-bar to accomodate the winch. You can't see the cutout unless someone mentions it. The cut ends up pretty hidden TBH.
