Just had my '05 HSE in for service. It seems that the brake servo or something was not working, because my brakes were down to the floor and I couldn't stop the D3... My dealer said that they'll replace the unit for me under the extended warranty scheme but I was just wondering for those of you who have had this done before? What is the likelihood of this thing failing again?
Loving the rest of the vehicle though!
Cheers,
Nick

Hi Nick,
had mine done recently under recall.
I think there is a guy on here who had it done once and when checked again they found the fluid back in the servo, some kind member will probably point you in the right direction for the link.
Does not give you confidence in LR.

Land Rover issued a recall on a lot of D3's, to check for oil in the brake servo or pipework. If oil was found in the servo, it was replaced with the master cylinder if necessary. I suspect your dealer might have replaced it under the terms of this recall.
I was told that there was on issue with the '06 plates onwards but there were problems with the earlier cars too... I guess I've got to wait and see...
Meanwhile I've got to drive an Astra from Enterprise! Oh how sorely I miss my D3!
