Ar'nt yu worried about it being outside with the rear window glass not fitted?
From your original pics, it didnt look like the rear panel was damaged (apart from the arch trim).

Repairers sometimes take side glass out of nondamaged panels to avoid breaking it while working on the damaged bits......... thus saving them the cost of replacing a bust side glass.

I say this for 2 reasons:
1. I had a similar shunt in a year old car where it was a bit 'shall we /shan't we repair'. What came back was an undriveable dog and it took us 3 months and umpteen inspections to get the car rejected and written off.
2. As you can see my other car's a beemer and they won't warranty the paintwork on any panels non-BMW painted so you will need to check there is a warranty on the paintwork for whoever does it.
Having been stung once I would always find an independent (or LR if they're not doing the work) engineer to inspect the car before taking delivery. As always as soon as you drive off you lose some rights.
Obviously if the work is in a LR dealer you are fine on most counts.
Glad to hear you are OK - must have been pretty terrifying.
Hi, the work is being done by Merits Body Repair Centre in Beaconsfield they are also the local Jaguar dealer so normally repair to end cars!
They are also specialists for lotus cars have about 8 to 10 lotuses being done & the repairs are guaranteed for 3 years so will out last the warranty any way!

Hi all, been a bit quiet as I have still not got my car back (should get it back tomorrow!) still it has only been 10+ weeks!!!
I think the repair bill let alone getting it back to the UK is something like 8 to 10K.
When I have a car to talk about I will be back!

Yer they worked a treat last time!
One very odd thing is the new near side mirror is very different from what I remember!
