Looks like it’s not a case of losing control, more of a case it just won’t fit, he’s attempted to make a left turn to get down Platt Lane and took out the monument in the square, unbelievable.

Do these folk have no brains? What on earth was he thinking? Surely he must have realised such a turn was impossible in the space available. I despair about the total dependence on (and unwavering belief in) SatNavs. Use your eyes people and, if you’ve got one, engage brain when sitting behind a steering wheel. Half of the joy in driving to, and in, unknown areas was looking at maps to get an idea of route and road network.
