Hi all,
Ever wanted to take your Discovery out along the glorious Green Lanes of North Wales? Little experience or plenty of experience, there should be plenty for everyone.
I’m running a two day Tag-along Tour in Wales on the weekend of 6th and 7th February.
Starting at a point on the A5 in North Wales, we’ll meander through well known and lesser known routes that have all been tested for D3 friendliness. Whilst no off road travel can ever be risk free, we’ll do our utmost to avoid lanes that will damage your vehicle. Some lanes may have brambles or branches and may need gardening from time to time (the countryside is a living, ever changing environment!).
After a day of green laning, we’ll end at a secret location for a wild camp, where we’ll have a communal Bolognese and maybe a couple of warming beverages…!
Following what is usually a spectacular morning view, we’ll carry on to explore more of the North Wales countryside, ending up back on the A5 Sunday afternoon for you to continue your journey home. Or maybe you want to stay on and spend some time in the spectacular villages and towns of North Wales.
When: Saturday 6th Feb 2016 10am – Sunday 7th Feb 2016 4pm (approx.)
The cost of this is £95 per car for the weekend (not per occupant!) You can have 7 people in your car if you wish, but not sure where you would put your recovery or camping gear!
It would be useful if you have any recovery gear, but essential is a tent, and associated camping gear to keep you warm.
As with any motoring activity, you should always check your vehicle beforehand and ensure that it has been serviced and maintained to avoid any problems on the trails.
A serviceable spare is required on any green lane event.
If you are interested in this, please let me know. You don’t need to have a Discovery to come along, other marques have been known to join us!
