Hi have a whining noise when under load but disappears when I release the throttle
I’m thinking it’s front diff ?
Can I remove the front prop and take it for a drive to eliminate the diff from the noise ?

No, it won't drive without the front prop.
Front diffs are prone to bearing failure. Did one on mine, not a bad job even on the drive.Richard
