which video editing software?

ok, so I have loads of hours of captured video from Hogmoor and the last Rockingham events on HDD in .mov format, any ideas as to what he best ( and cheapest if poss ) editing software to use to get them chopped down into a viewable and uploadable format?

I use from Mov to AVI MPEG WMV Converter from http://www.aone-video.com to get it to AVI or WMV and then just use Windows Movie Maker after that - WMV 768Kbs is about right for YouTube

DiscoStu will be along with the 'professional setup' in a bit I expect

Have used Adobe Premiere elements in the past and it is very good and quite cheap for what it is

Final Cut Express is a better option if you do have a Mac, there's a load of stuff in FCP that you probably wouldn't use.

I use Ulead video studio 11.5 plus.

It does pretty much anything you need to do, I made a very nice wedding video for my business partner with it and he and his wife were chuffed to bits with it
 I have something to say! It's better to burn out... than to fade away!

I've been using Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate lately and it's very good for a home/amateur point of view..... Thumbs Up

You can buy the Standard edition for 35 quid which has more than enough for home users Thumbs Up

Don't laught... Cut Cut Pro Pro is used by broadcast and post production professionals on their Fisher Price desktops Ner Ner

If someone wants it, I have a box set (v5.1) from a couple versions back... collect only.
