which portable DVD player?

I am looking to get portable DVD players to keep the kids quiet on long trips. As I'm sure many forum members will have gone down this route i' d thought i'd ask for recommendations. cheers John

We purchased this one from Argos:

£99 and got screen resolution and no skipping.

Attached to the centre console lid with Velco to secure it for kids. Goes under seat when not in use.

Purchased 12v in car lead from Halfords to keep it charging. Thumbs Up

Got a twin screen set up from Aldi for about £80. Came with all the car leads needed and as a dvd player with 2 screens works very well. Designed to attach to each headrest but is slightly awkward due to the D3's unconventional headrest i.e. grab handles and fixed. TBH it's not used very much as the youngest tends to fall asleep and the eldest is happy to use his stick on steering wheel!

Brought individual ones from Tescos last Christmas. Caome with all the leads and fittings to go on the headrests. Also have a good battery which seem to last long time.

I think I got mine from Comet, twin screens, headphones, remote control etc for around £100.
Should have got 3 seperate ones as the 3 sprogs still argue about what to watch!!

yes, that's what worries me. i was looking at twin screen, but i can just imagine the arguments if they have to watch the same thing. perhaps two individual dvd players/screens is the way to go?

In hindsight, I'd do that Rolling with laughter
we have an age gap of 8 years between my eldest and youngest.
As you can imagine, eldest wants to watch iron man, youngest wants to watch high school musical.
It can get a bit heated at times Big Cry
I'd rather play eye spy, bananacar or car cricket myself!!
