So, I've given up on the idea of converting my Halogens to proper Xenons. As an alternative, I'd like a bit more light using replacement bulbs. Which do people usually go for, and where's the best place to purchase from?
I've seen:
- OSRAM Nightbreakers
- Philips X-treme Vision Plus
Any preferences? I see several stories of these bulbs going pop though, so would appreciate guidance if they're duff. I know I could go HID from HIDS4U, but I wouldn't know where to go in Glasgow to get them activated. Dr Rick

I used both of those in my Freelander. The OSRAM one only lasted about 6 months before popping. The Philips ones were still going strong when I traded it in.
I did notice that although they gave a nice bright light the spread pattern was very patchy and I took it back to the stealer a couple of times as I thought they needed adjusting and then I read somewhere (in this forum I think) that the brighter bulbs can mess up the spread pattern. I don't know if that's a concern with a Disco.
I generally buy then over the net from these guys

There's another post here somewhere saying they have a shop on ebay which is cheaper still.
