Wheelarch protector replacement
Ok, I’ll be the first to admit it’s hardly up there with a full engine replacement, but it was definitely in the “I’m the only one that knows it’s there and it’s bugging me” category.
It’s a very easy 5 minute job, and strangely satisfying. Just make sure all the crud is cleaned out where it meets the lower trim or it won’t fit, and definitely a good idea to properly clean behind the wheelarch itself when you have the old one off.

Here you go, courtesy of Stephen O. According to Stephen it's the same part that goes on the Freelander, (which is slightly cheaper) but you'd have to cut that to size....I couldn't be bothered and just got the Discovery ones.
Once again, very swift service from Advanced Factors on here...

I just pulled mine off and chucked them in the bin. Didn’t realise I was meant to put new ones on.

Did mine last year - also hosed under the arches until the water ran clean - the crud that came out was unbelievable and I don't off road

That was on the D3, she lived for prob several years without them, and died without them. Weight saving, skinflintishness and laziness in equal(ish) measure.

That's handy to know, as I have set of Freelander ones that I never got round to fitting before selling mine on 2013 Discovery 4 HSE Lux | 2001 Defender 90 TD5 | 2007 Prodrive RB320

Finally got round to fitting mine!
Ordered the Britpart equivalent from Island 4x4 at £10 each, when they arrived they had sent my genuine as BP ones out of stock.
