Was thinking of getting my wheels painted black after I take delivery of my new disco. Does anyone think there might be any problems with the TPMS and warranty etc if I got this done aftermarket rather than asking the dealer to get it done ?

Ok can I re phrase that. How reliable is the TPMS ?
What does it consist of ?
Is it likely that taking off the tyres and painting the wheels is going to balls it up ?

I take it the option of ordering them in black isn't acceptable ? TPMS SHOULDN'T be affected but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I will be along to confirm or refute that statement shortly. I have it on my car and we had to change a wheel due to a blowout. The spare for some reason didn't have the TPMS valve fitted and it threw up a persistent fault message on the screen. Back to the dealer and they sorted it no problem.
