Wheel Bearings
Got the old girl up on the ramp to change the brake pads today and noticed a lot of play in the front NS wheel bearing walked round the car to check the rest and found that both front and one rear had movement in the bearing the worst one being the OS rear, I could move the top of the wheel in and out about 10mm Needless to say I have put her back on the floor and called L R A they are collecting her tomorrow morning and dropping off another D3.In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

My front passenger side has some play as well... being done along with the ARB stirrups (when the front ones arrive from LR ).
Quick question... do you always have LRA come and collect yours if any warranty work needs doing ?
Just wondering is all as I book it into Shukers to get done.

If if breaks down then yes most of the time.
I have to tow a digger to Gravesend tomorrow and need a D3 to do it. JV Likes don't have a spare car at the moment. And if L R A get involved the broken vehicle will go to the front of the Q as car hire is involved.
And the big question is. Is it safe to drive with 3 knackered wheel bearings In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

reminds me of the time i had one go in my Jag S - Type. Drove it into the garage, and said to the service manager, can someone have a look at my car, think the wheel bearing or something has gone. Service Manager said, yep no problem, 5 mins later were in the car rolling off the forecourt and we hadn't gone 500 yds, when he said, "surprised you made it to the garage" .
He then explained that the last time he heard a wheel bearing as bad as mine, they got it into the workshop and were basically able to wobble the wheel by 20-30mm, almost to the point of it falling off the axle.
Needless to say, left it there and got a bling Mercedes E Class (hire car) to blast upto Manchester in.

I presume this is the Blue Pearl we are discussing here? What the mileage now?
Mine has developed a loud bang from the front when I press the brake suddenly. Better go and check mine.

Yes the Blue Pearl I don't know the exact mileage now as I don't drive her that much, I think its about 88k or there abouts.
Land Rover The rear wheel bearings are on back order so god knows how long we will be driving round in the Enterprise LRA D3In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
