Wheel Alignment USA version / non UK
My D3 is at the dealers today for service and alignment. in talking with the service tech he said he would "turn the bolts around" in the front which should diminish the chances of the alignment loosening. Forgive my lack of technical terms . Essentially what he said was that D3's come off the assembly line with the bolts on backwards putting added stress onto the washer which ultimately relaxes. He said that they now switch the bolts on all D3 alignments. He said that the early camber / tire wear issues were connected with this. The service guy actually was well schooled in the D3, suprisingly he knew a ton about the vehicle and is a huge fan of the D3. Just wondered if anyone else has heard of turning the bolt around to reduce alignment play / tire wear. I feel like I've got good b.s. radar, he was almost mad that they came off the assembly line like that so I believed him.16 D4 Landmark
