Ride height is an important reference point in getting the alignment right.
Procedure should be, check ride height, check alignment. If adjustment is required, adjust, then re-check ride height, followed by a further check on alignment.
If the ride height is low, the inner edges of the tyre wear faster, and the other way round if height is too high.
