Hi Guys
I was just wondering whether it is advisable to leave the suspension height setting in "normal" mode or lock it into "access" mode when sending the vehicle in for wheel alignment. The technicians at the wheel aligment centres seem to have conflicting ideas on the subject.

Yes, or someone with Autologic/sdd/ids/MSV or similar.
Putting it in tight tolerance mode gives a very tight set point at which the suspension angles can be measured & adjusted at a known stable point.
If left in standard mode the settings, especially camber, which affects tracking, can alter too much, which makes adjustments inacurate.

Steve

Just did mine yesterday. Set it to "tight tol" mode and delivered it at "normal height" after setting all four corners to same height setting. Job done at local wheel alignment shop for R200 ( Aus Dollar 26+/-). Mechanic said it was so much easier to do than previous D3 he had set -- didn't know about "tight Tol" setting or height settings.
