What is four wheel alignment and is it something that should be done as regular service?

TIA

As I will replace all the rear suspension arms I need to get the toe and camber set to the correct setting to get it to drive safely and without scrubbing tyres

If your tyres are wearing evenly it should be ok.

Just had mine done, cost £235, I had replaced all my wishbones so the job was relatively easy for them, have done a 1000 plus miles since and all the feathering on the tyres has gone every thing wearing well, have a little problem and taking back next week, the steering is very lively turns on a sixpence, that’s what you get with race shops lol, hoping to get it adjusted so it’s a little duller and slower.

£235!! I’d want Kylie in a bikini to perform the alignment for that money!! Couple of years since I’ve had one done but from memory was around £65 with Hunter equipment.

I was thinking more Kelly Brook than Kylie but I totally see your point. Mr. Green

Probably both showing our age? Kelly would have more chance of adjusting the tight nuts though 😜

Paid £72 recently. I think you have been done for £235! Not really necessary to get a disco aligned at a race garage!

I agree very dear for 4 wheel alignment, but if you have changed both upper and lower wishbones the caster, camber and alignment need to be checked, during the dismantlement of the front offside some lovely previous chap had failed to tighten the bolt so it had moved, so couldn’t even do a guess readjustment on rebuild
