What's wrong with my tyre?
I was going to swap wheels/tyres over from winters back to ATR's, but noticed a slight bulge close to the rim on one, and looks like the tyre is failing.

Hiya
Please don’t throw anything at me, lol, what’s ur tyre pressures plse, Must admit haven’t seen a tyre bead like that before
had to bin a pair of tyres on SWMBOs VX Antara a couple of years back because they'd started splitting just above the wheel rim. Even if they were same age as the car, that would've only been about 5 years and car (62 plate) has still less than 35K miles on it today, so hardly wear'n'tear.

SWMBO's Evoque (14 plate) had its service recently - 39k miles and still the same tyres.
There was still some life left in the tread, but the tyre wall was starting to split due to the age of the tyres. She has been doing, and will be doing in the future, quite a few motorway miles, so we decided to replace the lot.
Not bad, getting 6 years out of them.

Tyres are (I think) about 3 years old.
Pressures, normal high 30's psi.
On the rear.
Pirelli ATR 18"s.

I would not use like that & suggest you make a claim on the maker .Take it back to your supplier, I have had two sets of tyres supplied FOC because of faults in the construction. Another tyre was my fault dropping it a drainage gulley off roading.
Are you sure there is not a fault with the wheel because about 10 years ago there was a number of posts with the wheel flanges wearing thin , I scrapped one of my wheels because of it.

In the top pic, is the rim slightly out of round? Looks like the bead is being pulled away from the wheel, or is it the wheel being pulled from the bead.
