| Whats with dealers at the minute |

It must be something I have said...the usual 2 dealers don't seem to want to answer emails and sort out selling/buying/changing cars - you would think annual vehicle change accounted for something! Mike

Spooky that .....had exactly the same issue and was having to chase them recently....when I finally managed to get hold of them it appears that they didn't want my business .....trying to buy a new HSE Luxury and part xing a year old version which is immaculate and better than when they sold it to me!
Tried to give me a £22k loss on my old car!
Funny I've still got it! I think they have been so profitable with the sale of Evoque and RRS that they can offer what they like and get away with it!

You can only "vote with your feet" and also publicise poor customer support both here, and if from a LR franchise direct to LR.
I have been thinking about buying a new Defender, and have been surprised about the dealers lack of knowledge & interest in a cash sale. It's not so gross that it needs reporting, and it's interesting how few dealers have a Defender demonstrator available.
I've decided to buy second hand.

Defenders do not make up a huge part of LR sales anymore, so there is a lack of knowledge about them.
They can sell Evoques, RRS, FFRR and Discovery models all day long, not worth the hassle of selling a Defender My D3 Build Thread

There's still demand for Defenders.
Went by appointment at 12:00 noon to try a Defender 110 DoubleCab XS just over a year old.
I wanted to buy there & then but SWMBO said we must go home & fetch the two older dogs to check that they could jump aboard.
Less than an hour after leaving the dealer rang to say "Sold to someone else" !
It might have something to do that it was ex-Royalty, but the dealer didn't advertise it as such.
Shame as I was prepared to pay the asking price subject to having the 12 month Land Rover Approved Warranty extended to 24 months, and a few bits of rectification done.
