Might have been on store’s cctv so it wouldn’t have been your word against their’s. If it was pre-packed cold meat you might have been assaulted by a shoplifter in the act of deciding what he was about to ‘acquire’..... that and packs of butter seem to be the junkies gear of choice in some places.

The Store Manager mentioned CCTV, if lucky it might have shown the incident, but I tend to think not in enough detail to decide who was to be believed plus it wouldn’t have sound. You’d have to be standing in the right place at the right time with no body obscuring the view.

Obviously, it’s not something I could view prior to making a decision, but they’d make available to the Police if I reported the matter.

Again, it brings us back to if they made a counter allegation and the CCTV was even neutral on what kicked it off .......

Funnily enough a couple of years back, I was driving round Morrison’s Car Park at Fort William when a 25 something year old, I lift weights for a living sort of guy in a body popping t shirt just walked across my path forcing me to brake hard. I just shook my head, said nothing but the guy waited for me in the front lobby of the store. He asked me if I had a problem and I said yes, you! He was taken aback and didn’t know what to do. Then a couple of local guys I knew came up to me and started chatting to me and that was the end of it. It’s difficult to know what to do, you turn tail they could be after you, you say something then likewise.

Most supermarkets in London have their better meat cuts security tagged. Doesn’t always deter the thieves who come in as a mixed sex gang, grab all the joints they can and leg it, bypassing the alarm cage at the exit. Seen this so often.

"What's got your goat up?" - more like What's got your pig up... and down... and up... and down...

They said:

Quote:
They added: "We held the event to symbolise the passing of the year of the pig, and the coming of the year of the rat.

"The pig jumping from such a great height also symbolises the falling price of pork.

"We offer our sincere apologies to members of the public.

"After our inappropriate opening ceremony, we sent the pig to an abattoir.

"The pig was still the same as before it bungeed. For us, it was purely for entertainment, and we didn't consider anything else.

"We were careless. Again, we're very sorry. We won't be doing anything similar ever again.

"What the public says is correct - and we humbly accept their criticism and recommendations.".

There's probably a cow somewhere hoping the price of beef doesn't rocket.

Regent Road, Salford ... and this is after it's been "improved". You'd have to drive it to know what I mean.

just took one lorry to break down today to completely and utterly gridlock it and all the roads around.

and where on earth did they get the jury from for this ...

BBC website wrote:
A van driver who repeatedly struck a police officer with a machete during a routine traffic stop has been found guilty of wounding with intent.

Muhammad Rodwan attacked PC Stuart Outten, 29, after he was pulled over in Leyton, east London, on 7 August.

The officer was badly injured and has yet to return to work.

Rodwan, who has previous convictions for rape and two other machete attacks, was also cleared by the jury of possessing an offensive weapon.

How is having a machete NOT possession of an offensive weapon ????

Well ... the Judge is clearly a bit more sensible. The Censored Censored got 10 years.
