Yes it is an offence, however, guidance dictates that as it is dangerous to stop people on the hard shoulder, it should be a last resort.
I have witnessed a police car move alongside a middle lane hogger and gesture for them to move over, but that's about the size of it.

IIRC, many Police view the 1-3-1 approach to be more risky than passing on the inside: the former is three manoeuvres (each of which has a risk associated with it); the latter is a single manoeuvre.
I tend to agree with this, and when approaching the car in lane 2 i will always flash my headlights on at least two occasions - the first giving them plenty of time to let them move in, the second when i am literally a few metres away, and at always all times being prepared to take evasive manoeuvres.
ASDA ... order turned up today and virtually none of the discountys that were in place yesterday have been applied.
sent a "free" bottle of wine back as it was no longer free.
checked website and ALL of the expected discounts are still active.
30 minutes on the phone explaining it all to helpdesk bod and eventually he concedes I am right.
Not sure where the compensation is going yet but handing back "free" wine is p1551ng me off greatly.

Car parts companies. Found the Milltek exhaust system I was after about £150 cheaper than pretty much every where else. Listed as in stock.
Paid extra for two day delivery to get an e-mail the following day to be told 2 week wait. Why list as in stock for immediate dispatch. Did ask why showing as in stock but not and they said system error. How convenient. Also asked if I will get express delivery refunded but no answer to that.
They have got you by the goulies though as stupid to cancel due to the wait because of the saving on cost.2006 TdV6 HSE.

Just read some very small print at the bottom of the page. It says if no stock level is shown or shows as back order then contact them for lead time as varies by product. No items show stock levels but will let you add to basket. One exhaust system does say back order but still let’s you add to basket. Not confusing in the slightest. 2006 TdV6 HSE.

I will cut them some slack as a relatively new company. Have only been going since last year and website does say that it is still being developed.
Their Facebook page has lots of promising comments and posts so not worried about it being a scam.2006 TdV6 HSE.

As long as you paid by credit card, and over £100 ISTR, you’re fine if it’s a scam.
