Whats the difference?
Have seen d2s and d4s bulbs for sale but they look identical. Does anyone know what the difference is between them?2006 TdV6 HSE.

One big difference is their operating voltage, 85v for D2's, 42v for the D4's.
Other is the D4's are mercury free.

At a guess the voltage difference is maybe just down to improvements/changes in the technology.
I presume D2's are older than D4's.
So newer vehicles would use D4's, maybe even D4's!
