The "Welcome to Disco3.co.uk say Hello" thread is now 134 pages and 2000 posts long. I just read a thread by a new member saying hello, and he has recieved about a dozen replies. Which seems to me to be quite a nice welcome to the site.
Would it be an idea to have "Welcome" Forum (if that's the right description of the major categories) where new members start there own thread to say hello?Too much intellectual firepower can damage your common sense.

Having now done 1000 miles since 29th November, my car (TDV6) is reporting 23.9 mpg on its trip computer.
Driving sanely - which is hard to do as this car really handles well and tempts you to fling it around- I am averaging between 27 and 30 UK MPG. Range on a tank is around 520 miles.
I usually have the aircon on ECON mode unless its wet and starts to mist up.
TDV6 6 S - 1100 miles so far.

In answer to James' suggestion, I don't think there's the need as there's the Welcome thread already and the General forum if new members want to start a new thread to say hello The End
