Newbie
Hi Martin and all other members, just got my second LR, a Disco 3 (already have a RRS 2.7 tdv6).... Disco is an early 06 on only 59k miles full history with only 2 prev owners...
First fix was to do the sun blind on the middle sun roof....
Easy fix with a piece of foam...
Looking forward to more simple jobs
Cheers David

Hi all,
New member from the Netherlands here. I previously owned a Disco 2 TD5, but upgraded yesterday to a Disco 3 in Buckingham Blue! What a difference!
I already got some great inspiration to change the vehicle to my specifications through this forum.

Getting fed up with potholed roads - looking at a Disco...
Hi Guys and Girls...
I was a long time member at Disco2.com. Had a ES7 V8 in green - loved it for 8 years... but when we got it it was about £70 to fill the tank and when we sold it it was more like £140 to fill up... The wife wanted a Fiesta and I wanted the keep the Impreza... so the poor old Disco got traded in
So here we are... I now have a JDM Subaru Legacy on coilover suspension - which is becoming more unpleasant to drive on our appalling road network as the years go on!
I look with jealousy at people in 'off-road' 4x4s... but have to remiind myself that even in those days even a Disco couldn't smooth out the unevenness of the British roads
Anyway - thought I'd join up here as I do like the look of those D4s - although a friend who used to work for JLR in development assures me that Land Rover reliability is still as 'legendary' as previously
Anyway - been doing a lot of work with JLR engines recently - so am sorely tempted by either a Landie or a Jag now... I love the new styling they have been producing across the board.
Have fun, whatever you drive

D4 headlight issue
Hi All,
New to forum and have a D4 that I want to keep going for a long time. I'm having a problem with nearside dipped headlight. It started off with what I thought was a blown H7 and so changed it with whatever I had in the car. Then thought about an upgraded bulb and bought a pair went to change them and noticed nearside not working again (in less than a week). Fitted new phillips upgrade and offside is great n/s not working. However...as I leave the lights on auto, when I switch the engine off I notice that it lights up as engine cuts off. Weird? Or simple explanation for one of you geniuses.

Hi all
Welcome to DISCO3.CO.UK, the leading community web site for everything to do with the new Discovery 3 and LR3 vehicles from Land Rover - and now we're also called DISCO4.COM, especially for all you new Discovery 4 and LR4 owners!
Click the "post reply" button at the top or bottom left of this thread page to tell us a little about yourself and your D3 or D4 - and how you found the site.
Don't forget to order some DISCO3 or DISCO4 goodies - how about a sticker to show that you're a proud member of the site? Take a look at the selection available at www.disco3.co.uk/shop/
Enjoy!

Hello everyone, hope all's well with you all.
Just joined and have a 2006 Discovery 3 HSE, done 174000.00kms.
Keep getting "Transmission fault" and "check brake pads" indication as soon as I engage a long uphill section of the HI way or Free Way. (South Africa). Gearbox will not change down after releasing the accelerator... have to use command shift to do this.
Anyone had the same problem, or can offer advice?
Regards,
Keith

D4 headlight issue
Hi Everyone,
Relatively new D4 owner with a strange headlight issue only affecting the nearside. If there's any wisdom out there I would appreciate some. I have no low beam but it will flash on as I turn off the engine. Any takers?

New to the forum and Disco 3 but have had a fair few others
Hi all New member and finally have my new to me Disco 3.
Picked up this little lady today to eventually replace my 2011 FFRR as i wanted something for camping trips and some overland adventure in Europe.
I believe it's one of the 2008 Blues and Royals Africa Expedition cars (1 of 9 according to legend) and very tidy. so its G4 spec and the paperwork shows the first service by Land Rover operations.
will hopefully get some more details up soon, but if anyone has any more details it would be great to hear from you.
Cheers Rich
