Hi All,
I have recently purchased a 2005 D3 HSE 4.4 V8 with 184,000 km's on the clock. It has a factory rear diff locker fitted that aint working.
I am loving it so far. I am looking forward to reading posts and learning about this vehicle and how to maintain it properly.
First things to address are the noisy sway bar bushes, get the diff locker working and if possible, get the memory seat function working as I have two other drivers that constantly mess with my seat set up.
Not happy with the number plate as all I see is CRAP67 which it definitely isn't lol, so have ordered a new plate T0NKA3 which I reckon is more appropriate for this beast.
Cheers
Lyndon

Hi there, just got my first D4 (11 plate), having had two D1's, an L322 RR and until I bought this a D2 Td5. Looking forward to interracting with all on the forum. The D4 is my retirement pet and I hope she does not give me too many sleepless nights. First is to find a link to download the workshop manual and then take it from there.

Hi all
Just dropping in to say hello and its good to be back on a discovery forum.
Lost my beloved D1 7 years ago and had a vectra and mondeo in the meantime. I pick up my D3 tomorrow and she's a stunner.
I did a lot of work on the D1 including welding.. I replaced the sills with box.. All front wheel arches and headlight areas.. Floor pans replaced. It had a hard life before I got it though and I was always chasing the problems.
The new one I've done some homework on and spoke to the specialist that's looked after it for the lady owner for the 7years she's had it, so I'm confident I've got a head start on this one lol. If it's wanted for anything it's been a no expense spared and quality parts along with a pedigree service history.
I would say it's quite emotional at the thought of been back behind a Land rover badge after these 7 years - I am seriously so chuffed. I guess then that'll change when I start pulling covers off to waxoil and underseal things πππ
Have a good day all.
Rich

Hi All, thought Iβd drop in and say hello to everyone.
Had my D3 HSE now for a couple of years and love it. after wasting it on Asda and school runs while still getting the fault lights and wonderful trips to the garage Iβve decided to start getting it dirty and start working on it myself, at least Itβll make the time between garage visits worth while Been stalking on here for a while and decided to join the community as it looks like a realy good group of LR lovers
My darling...will be going through a facelift over the next few days after giving her 4 new shoes

Newbie to Disco 4
Hi All
Looking to get into Disco 4 ownership after a few years of bland Outlander PHEV company cars, I note Disco's take big mileage well but at what cost? If I go for say a 2014 year with 80k mileage and take it up to 150k over a few years what do you think its annual cost will be? I don't want to get into a money pit but understand the privilege of Disco 4 ownership comes at a price
Any thought?
Cheers Mike

Welcome Freddie
Do your research there are a lot of very good D3's out there but also a lot of not so good ones.
Keep an eye on the for sale section forum members tend to look after there cars.
