| Weird Discovery 3 issues, battery drained chaos after! |

Hi, I'm at my wits end, and have searched for suggestions.
Thursday night I parked up as normal. Locked car etc.
Friday am got into car to drive, put in keys etc got a few bongs and then when I tried the engine nothing happened, tried a couple more times before I realised that the battery was dead. Hey ho.
Put a charger on the battery and left it to it. I subsequently discovered my alarm went off for a couple of hours during the night, that probably killed the battery.
After 24hrs was getting error light on charger, so I assumed the battery was dead and bought a new one.
Installed it today, and initially all seemed good, car started etc, but when I took the key out, the blower, the radio and the satnav stays on. Also the hazard lights were flashing and I could hear a click every few seconds as if the central locking was trying to engage. I could stop the central locking going by clicking the unlock button on the console. But I can't do anything with the hazards.
I then noticed the car was not responding to the key fob, and even the spare didn't work.
I tried a hard reset but it's still not working, help!!!
I've disconnected the battery to stop it being drained again by the activity.

Disconnect the alternator. It might be shorting out. Then try and reconnect the battery.
Also, you may have disturbed the big plugs to the main ecu’s during the battery change. Take the battery out, disconnect the big plugs and check for corroded pins and moisture in the plug.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago when my friends bag got wet..

The sunroof drain leaks behind the fusebox and the fusebox gets wet causing gremlins

Thanks Pete, if I fix the sunroof drain, it'll sort itself out with dehumidifiers and drying the area? There has been some really heavy rain last couple of weeks, but predicted dry for the next week.

Is that the fusebox to the right of the battery in the engine compartment?

To fix the drain the fusebox requires removal.

UPDATE:
After a day of teeth gnashing and hair tearing, left the battery disconnected and walked to the train station, coming back I popped into a recommended garage to see if they could help....he's obviously been very recommended as it would be 4 weeks before he could fit me in.
Got home and needed to get something from the boot but it was locked, so I reconnected the battery to unlock, and blow me it's all working again....start OK, keyfobs working, shutting down properly.
Pete K, I think you were spot on, it's damp in the fusebox, probably from a dodgy drain, and today was a gorgeous sunny day and just evaporated enough water.
Course I have still have the issue of the dodgy drain, I'm thinking of putting gaffa tape over the sun roof to stop further until I get it fixed 'proper'.
For the moment crisis over...for the moment.

Some idiot had cut my drain one way valve off so I took the wing off and used long nose pliers to grab the pipe then used sika flex adhesive to stick and rebuild the end Metal auto sump & fluid change (3 hrs)
LR door puddle projectors (10 mins)
Tinted Bonnet wind deflector (10 mins)
All Intercooler pipes and Tbolts (2hrs)
3 injectors replaced so far (30mins)
Sunroof drain pipes both sides 2.5 hrs)
Rear discs, shoes,pads,callipers,flexi hoses, rigid brake line, n/s upper hub carrier bush and rear n/s upper arm (13hrs over 2 days)

If you mean the duck bill ends they tend to block up when rubbish goes down the pipe and water can’t get out.
I prefer an open end of even 45 deg slash
