Hi Guys…
I have fitted a brand new fuel burning heater and the fuel pump that runs it
Has anyone in the Midlands got the webasto software and leads to adjust the co2 level as the FBH runs for 45 seconds then enters the cool down cycle.. I have been informed by a Discovery 3 expert that adjusting the co2 level could get it running. Mods:-
Beanie Grill,Side Steps,Colour-coded wheel arches, Door handles and Bumpers,Rear Bumper Exhaust Trim,Remote Start FBH,2014 D4 rear lights,Reversing camera GVIF enabled,D4 Bluetooth Module, Puddle lighted wing mirrors

Hi,
word of warning ISTR adjusting that figure and get it wrong can then mean it does not fire up again, which in turn means you can not alter it back again either
It has been mentioned before, research well before changing it ISTR it is set by factory for each unit when new, so a new FBH should not need changing it was an old unit that was not running right already that got altered .
it was some time back mind
software if free and leads are straight forward to make up if not in Martins shop

So what happens if you swap control boards?
In my experience, if the FBH is capable of firing up, it will - even with a different control board with (presumably) different combustion measurements stored. I suppose it depends how different the measurements are and how far towards the edge of the 99th percentile the FBH is.

What is “running” ? Blowing? buzzing? Does it generate heat in those 45 seconds?
The ecu does a check every start, if something hardware related is not ok during those checks, it wil blow, buzz, but not heat for about that same 45 secs, has nothing to do with co2
Does the fuel dosing/ meteringpump starts ticking? Tik, tik tik tik, tik
If it it starts to heat in those 45 seconds and then stops it is in 90% of the time, a blockage in the inlet or exhaust, wrong air surge under the car, etc… or a fuel blockage, like air bubbles or leakage in the fuel line…. Best regards
Harold

Does the fuel dosing/ meteringpump starts ticking? Tik, tik tik tik, tik ……… YES
Can’t find a leak in the fuel line, if primed with the IIB Diagnostic tool loads of smoke for the 45 seconds. Mods:-

Priming, may ONLY be used when the fuel line is empty, otherwise it will flood the burner
and since diesel does not evaporate as gasoline does, it wil not ignite….
The heat you feel in those 45 seconds is from the glowplug…
I am afraid you need to dismantle it and clean it…
If done /trying too often, the resistance of the glowplug will get to high and stop doing its function…
I read it here on the forum everytime… priming (why? Because they can, with their idd/w-bus diag ) making more trouble than there was…
Diesel is not gasoline, so no tickling or choke etc. Needed….
You can try to blow lots and lots of air through the inlet, for a looooong time…. Maybe you can get rid of excessive diesel that way… Best regards

Guys from the Altox I get CODE 02 No start
1)The reason for the air intake pipe or exhaust gases. 2) The reason for the fuel system. 3) Check the pump dispenser. 4) Check the electrical system pin filament.
New Air intake pipe on a brand new FBH.
Fuel system is delivering fuel( heat and smoke for 45 seconds.)
New pump fitted.
So only things to check / change is the exhaust and what electrical system pin filament does this mean ???
Is the the wires feeding the FBH or something internally??? Mods:-

Motolab, I have read read your answer…
I removed the FBH stripped it down cleaned out the diesel residue as per your previous reply, reinstalled the FBH,ran the vehicle to ensure coolant was circulating, attempted to fire the heater and the same procedure occurred.(ran for 45 seconds then cool-down) Read the fault code. Mods:-
