Webasto FBH D4

Hi all

I can confirm from the tests made today that the FBH does not work with the Oval 1533 timer as used on the D3

unless ive actually mised something obvious which is why it wont work which i doubt.

Ive made several tests with the timer and it wont fire the heater in the D4, ive even got a used D3 FBH and tested it on the floor and i can fire it u perfectly so this iliminates a fault on the timer.

I rang my LR dealer today for the D4 FBH module aerial and remote, Guess what they are not available

Intrestingly they told me that the LR kit with the remote has the LR logo on, so im wondering if they have changed away from the w-bus signal.

Ill keep working on this one as time lets me because i want my heater timed and remotly operated somehow.

Has anyone got a Webasto T91 kit i can borrow to try ??

2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Stornoway Grey

I was trying my newly arrive T91 kit on my d3 MY08 today, no success either.

I tried T91 pin 2 wbus (had to make own cable as it didnt come with one) into heater pin 2.
also tried t91 pin 3 (OUT) to heater pin 2 wbus as suggested by stapldm in his fbh guide

was thinking of trying t91 pin 3 to heater pin 1, but it was -13 outside so food wine & a nice fire persuaded me otherwise. whilst trawling the net, found the following diagrams

assumed above is correct, but then assume makes an ASS out of U ande ME

Thanks fo the info dick, i think my m8 has got a T70 somewhere ill ask him to dig it out so i can try it.

The T91 should be fine on the D3 i cant see why it would not start, weird.

Russell the part numbers are if you can try for the top 2 parts please, as you see aparently the receiver comes with a remore.

Receiver radio remote control,Parking heater with remote LR008656

Wire assy from remote control unit to antenna 3.0L 24V LR016181

Remote control only LR009736 This seems available, but its no good for a spare wiuthout the rest lol

hope you had a good Christmas, I did and d4 performed very well in the snow and ice even with the tin tent on the back. Had any chance to do anymore work on either the heater or the possible camera for the back of the caravan?

Do you now where I can purchase the plug/cables for the cameras and what are the plugs called.

I think the connector is from http://www.rosenberger.de/en/Products/40_HSD.php
But i have a loom i got from LR in the office that im going to try and take apart for the connectors and extend it.

Ill see if i can rig up a test camera and extention if you want to test it on your car ?

yes that will be fine, will be happy to give it a go when you have sorted. In the mean time i am going to try to find more info on the cable/plug and try to find a supplier with the view to getting some plugs/sockets and try to make up a cable, will let you know if I get anywhere.

No problem, if you need a camera i have one here you can use as a test.
I cant test any more on my car because my camera is a different one to yours that LR dont have in stock

Have been trying to get hold of a cable or connectors to make up a cable. Have spoken to Rosenberger and they will not release any cables or fittings other than to a vehicle manufacturer

Am still trying to find a supplier of the cable but with no joy so far. Have you done any more with this or have you had cahnce to look at the FBH mod MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Yes ive fitted the T91 module and aerial behind the back panel of the car, im waiting for a remote to arrive so i can test proplery.

Ill also keep trying for some connectors

its manic at work at the moment with developement of some things on the D4 so im jumping from job to job depending on parts available.
