Webasto dealer - FBH service |
|
Has anyone found a Webasto dealer who can/will service the FBH?
My FBH has locked out. TFC has unlocked it twice but it still goes back into lock out mode after a few days.
TFC has suggested that it needs a proper Webasto Service but I've not been able to find a Webasto dealer who's happy/I'm confident will be able to do the service.
Has anyone had any experience of a good Webasto dealer?

JPW , Have you got the Webasto Timer fitted to yours because I managed to reset mine by using the combination of the timer and pulling the fuse

MacLeod 313 - that's excellent I'll give them a call.
Tawnyowl - no I haven't got a timer fitted. I can reset it sometimes by pulling the fuse, but I think if it has failed to start on 3 occasions, it goes into "hard lockout" which then needs a Testbook / Faultmate etc. to re-set

I have the same issues - if anyone knows of a Webasto specialist in South Yorkshire or Derbyshire that would be great.
Thanks.

Have been having issues with my FBH for several weeks now. Sometimes it starts and dies sometimes nothing. When it goes into the dealers it has faults which they clear and I have had it 'recalibrated' all to no avail. Warranty have declined to replace as yet. Dealer has now sent a Technical service question to Land Rover as I think they have tried everything they know and are now scratching their heads. When L/R reply will post again, hope they fix it before all this cold weather goes Pot Noodle Challenge Winner 2011

Same with mine peeps, locked up again now despite Iains best efforts, will try the guys you suggest Jason.
I noticed today that the Police carriers at work have what appears to be the same Webasto type exhaust sticking out the side, I'll track down who does their servicing.. TDV6 HSE - Light Guards - White Reflective Sticker

Any Webasto dealer will be able to help. Search on their website for local dealers.
These Webasto units are all essentially similar regardless of their application - vehicle preheating, camper van heating, yacht heating etc.
For a while I have been looking at getting one fitted to my camper van as an alternative heat source to provide some redundancy over and above the existing blown air gas heating.
Webasto and their main competitor, Eberspacher are both v good, reliable and proven.
