Webasco fuel burning heater timer

I recently had a webasco timer fitted to my fuel burning heater Very Happy . It does not work properly and the installers say it never will Crying or Very sad - webasco have told them so Shocked . The problem is a software incompatability with my 56 hse. Rolling Eyes
I am going to insist on a refund. Has anybody got any thoughts/experience on a 240v mains powered preheater. Question
For the record, the problems with the webasco are various but include it not liking doors being opened, ignition being on, days with a y in them Big Cry .

do a search on "Webasto" or "FBH" and you will find there are many threads. stapldm's solution works well. Thumbs Up

yes, it switches off if the car "comes to life" but i find if i'm ready to open the doors then i'm ready to start the engine.

you can link it to a remote and/or text message activation Thumbs Up

mines has worked faultlessly since January Thumbs Up

I'm sure you could follow stapldm's indtructions. Or if its cold and wet outside, ask 10forCash to reinstall it Thumbs Up

Mine works fine, yes the heater shuts down when the car comes to life as the car is unlocked but that is nothing as to the amount of aggravation 240V mains heaters cause - I hope you like extension leads Shocked I can´t think of one time where a 240V heater would be less problem to consider than the few limitations of the timer FBH....
 Cheers
