Weather forecast - and D3 price crash foretold
I would like to announce that there will no longer be any snowy or icy weather, there will be no floods, Lancashire will be like Tuscany, I will be able to grow grapes in my front garden, nobody will ever need towing out of a ditch, I'll not have anything heavy to tow, nor will I ever have more than 4 passengers to take anywhere, I won't need a delivery van to cart stuff around in etc etc
Also, D3 prices are now set to plummet, so sell em all quick!
Translation - I've just bought a silver paint and black leather 54 auto D3 HSE! From the local dealer whom I have previously studiously avoided due to high prices - but who just dropped the price £1k this morning, having previously dropped it from (the very silly) original price
Might manage to do some work now instead of endlessly searching on autotrader, pistonheads and on here!
Thanks to all for the information posted on here - very helpful . Now, how do I tell the lovely Helen what I've done without getting thumped?

Park it on the drive, and when (if) she notices, claim the car's looked like that for ages - perhaps it's just a bit cleaner than of late?

No, I won't be joining in any group buys. Everyone said when I bought a Caterham (now sold to pay for house ) that I would be endlessly upgrading it but I didn't!.
Apart from the exhaust.
And the engine management system.
And the axle ratio
Oh
Not sure I'll get away with saying it followed me home, or that it changed in the wash. And she's definitely cheaper than the D3 will be - I send her out to work, doncha know!
But, living on a farm, it is at least the "right" car to have (although the in-laws are proper country folk - they have a clapped out Cavalier and Rover 200 for transport!), and a quad for sorting out the

Just realised I can claim to have bought a cheap car as it's pre-March 2006, we agreed the other day that I should buy a car like that (although I think she wanted me to get a Subaru...)
